Legacy of Life Thaddeus Young, also known as "Joe-Joe", was born June 4, 1947 to thelate Deacon Mercy Young Sr. and Leala Young of Eutawville, SC. Heentered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.Born and raised in his beloved Eutawville, SC, he accepted Jesus as hisLord and Savior joining 1st Baptist Church of Vance, SC and wasbaptized in his early youth. Thaddeus completed his primary educationgraduating from Roberts High School in Holy Hill, SC in 1965. Aftergraduating, "Joe" migrated to New York and settled in White Plains. Hewas drafted into the United States Army in 1966 serving active dutyuntil 1969 during the peak time of the Vietnam War and was honorablydischarged in 1972. After his active duty, Joe joined in holy matrimonyto Mrs. Jeanette Young on January 23, 1971. From this union threesons were born Adrian, Myron, and Jason.Always hard working, Joe subsequently settled into a career workingwith Con Edison in 1974 completing 39 years of service retiring in2013. Joe's time at Con Ed wasn't just excitement for triple overtimehours, he poured into his coworkers. Inconspicuously behind the scenes,Joe helped fellow employees navigate the work, the career, and theconduct necessary to be successful and gain the most out of their hardefforts. Joe spent time gardening & farming in his backyard and had alove of fishing. He enjoyed his trips to Massachusetts and locallymastering the waters when he made time to hook'em fresh. A followerof sports, Joe proclaimed 3 with pride: Muhammad Ali, WashingtonRedskins, and his beloved New York Mets. When Joe was not working,he kept moving and made time for his friends & family. He accountedhis time toward checking up on friends, alongside asking about peoplethat others may have forgotten. When he moved north, he never forgotthe south. Joe spent hours and days on the phone asking what he coulddo or just having the conversation that many people looked forward to.Joe enjoyed his time listening and giving his quick witty commentary.For a quiet man, he had a lot say and you were sure to get a good laugh.He saw where glue needed to be applied amongst his friends andespecially his huge extended family, and without quarrel nor debate, heapplied himself as the answer never complaining or boasting about whathe had done. No prompt was ever needed to be given to Joe, he sawwhat was needed and responded because that's just who he was.Joe was preceded in death by his parents as well as his son CorporalMyron Young, his brothers & sisters Vernon Jerome Young, MercyYoung Jr, Timothy Young, Herphine Young, Lula Bell Young Shaw(Bennie), and Brother-in-Law Kim MarburyHe leaves behind his wife Jeanette Young, Brothers Alvin Young(Patricia), Blake Young (Rose), Kent Young (Gladys), Sisters BrendaYoung Marbury, Sharon Young Edwards (Joseph), Valerie Young Moore(Douglas) Son's Jason Young (Nathalee) Adrian Young, Daughter inLove Crystal Young, grandchildren Sidney Amber Young, TaylorAdrianne Young, Alexandria Sojourner Young, Madison Amber Young,Abigail Truth Young, Amir Malachi Young. Also, a host of in-laws,nieces, nephews, cousins, and an unmeasurable number of friends. Hispresence, acts of generosity, and standard of dependability will bemissed by all that know him.
