It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of SurveliaTheresa Jones on April 8, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with Covid-19.She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Rodney Louris, LawrenceCarl Jones, Gregory E. Jones, sister-in-law Cassilla Jones; children,Rhonda Smith, Janice Thomas, grandchildren; Tiana Long, Aaron LongAaliyah Long, Jacob Long, Shamiah Jones Hall and Jabari Jones Thomasand great grandsons Logan Long and Skyler Long. Also left to mourn herpassing are the many members of her extended family and friends. A little bit of light impacts a lot of darkness. The darkness in a room maynot be so ominous once there is light in the room. Light also gives comfortthroughout the night. The Sun light that breaks through the rainclouds of lifebrings hope and joy with each new day. This is why Jesus called Hisfollowers to let their lights "shine before men." When Theresa entered the room, she brought the light, she was full of joyand hope each day. It was clear that once you got to know Theresa, youcould see that her heart was open in helping people, it was part of herDNA. She loved cooking and traveling, as the Chief Chef, Theresaremained dedicated to her profession all her life. Throughout the years Theresa was a constant source of strength,encouragement, and boundless love, which grew stronger with each year.Theresa was an incredibly warm, thoughtful, selfless, and caring partner,mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed.
