Deaconess Neloise Brown Obituary (1930

Deaconess Neloise Brown born to Roosevelt Brown and Addie Wilcher in Wadley, Georgia, on June 30, 1930, she transitioned on June 25, 2022. We are heartbroken by the passing of our mother. She left us peacefully, days before her 92st birthday. Neloise loved her children, she was always there for advice, and her wisdom, she leaves behind five children. Theresa Racine Brown, William Brown, Jr., Barbara Brown, Darrell Glenn Brown (Jessie), and Dawne Neloise Brown. Neloise was a strong black, woman she will be remembered for her personality and no nonsense way of conducting herself . I'm sure we all have a recollection of a Neloise story. She is an unforgettable soul, and when she smiled her dimples lit up a room. She will be well thought of and affectionately missed. She served as a good person in her community, a hard worker in her church, and a Deaconess for 60 plus years. She earned a degree in theology at Mount Saint Mary's College, and she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Neloise was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Tarrytown, Mount Lebanon Baptist church in Peekskill and her final membership was at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Ossining, NY. Neloise leaves to survive eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one grandchild that is deceased (Kiara Tatum) She is also survived by her brother Theartis Leonard Brown (TL), and her husband William Henry Brown, Sr
