Cellestine "Cammie" Brunson of White Plains, New York was born on April10, 1947 in Summerton, South Carolina, Clarendon County to ThomasBrunson and Tina Mickens. In 1965 she began her journey to White Plains,New York where she resided until her untimely passing.On Saturday October 7, 2023 at her residence, she peacefully passed away inher sleep at the age of 76 with her daughter Valerie by her side.In 1973 she began working for The Finks as a Homemaker playing a major partin the life of their three sons. She also worked for The Kleins who have twodaughters and The Goldmans all who she loved very much. Our preciousMother was finally reunited with the love of her life Mr. Roy Calhoun afterbeing apart for 27 years. She was a woman of remarkable character andunwavering love.Cellestine was very family oriented, she cherished her role as a mother. She hada heart full of warmth and love, always putting the needs and happiness of hertwo children before her own. Her selflessness was a shining example to all whoknew her. Cellestine was also known for her culinary talents, her kitchen was aplace where love was cooked into every meal. She took delight in preparingdishes that brought joy to her loved ones and created lasting memories aroundthe family table.Cellestine's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunateenough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and theenduring importance of family. Remained to hold dear her treasured momentsare her two loving children Paul Brunson and his long time Companion KeyanGill of Norwalk, CT, and Valerie Brunson of White Plains, NY, her 7 Siblings;Willie Thomas (Dora) of Summerton, SC, James Louis of Yonkers, NY, RobertLouis (Ophelia) of Greenburgh, NY, Josephine Newkirk, John Henry, Leon(Beth Ann) and Roosevelt Brunson all of White Plains, NY; 6 grandchildren, 1great-grandchild, 7 nieces and nephews who for the past 16 months she hasbecome a second mom to after the passing of her sister; two Aunts May Rileyand Edith Mickens both of Summerton, SC and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.In addition to her companion and parents Cellestine was preceded in death byone sister Ruth A. Brunson, one brother-in-law Larry Tindie, two sisters-in-lawMary L. Brunson and Kola Brunson, one nephew Willie "pop" Lee, four unclesand six aunts.
